The In-Person Winter Conference, in New York City, is a fantastic opportunity to expand your artistry and build your network. You'll get to meet industry professionals throughout the event and connect with other children's book creators! During the conference, there will be a multitude of events for the attendees to sharpen their craft, get inspired, and explore the ins-and-outs of the kidlit world.
From keynotes, industry panels, creative labs, one-on-one manuscript and portfolio consultations, the conference is jam packed with opportunities! I always look forward to the Portfolio Showcase where I get to browse the artwork of my fellow illustrators, and get inspired for my own work. This year there will be keynotes from Meg Medina, and Tiffany D. Jackson as well as a conversation with Jason Reynolds, led by Elena Giovinazzo!
